Looking thought different types of conditioners i came across a conditioner specially for Betta fish, is there any difference between the general ones?

Don't quote me on this... but I would have thought that it was just a lower concentration in the bottle to make it easier to measure out for bowls. Kind of like Bettafix (o.2%) and melafix (1.0%). The same thing, with the same active ingredient, but different concentrations. Measuring water conditioner from the same bottle for a 10 gallon tank and a 1.5 gallon bowl is pretty difficult. Either you have to add a TON of conditioner to the 10 gallon tank... or a couple drops to a 1.5 gallon bowl....

don't go spending money on separate things, something like stress coat works jsut as well as those over priced products :good:

The difference is that they can make it more dilute and whack a bigger price on it, the same way that 'aquarium' dechlorinator is just a more dilute, more expensive pond dechlor.

i use pond dechlor. super concentrated. only a few drops treats the whole tank! cant beat it for value thats fur sure. one bottle which costs $12 lasts months and treats up to 3500 gal!!!
cant beat that in my book :)
cheers
