I was definitely a complete idiot amateur, thanks to members like Clarousel ; Overload ; fishyfeet ; Dav ; the_lock_man; laura120381; CezzaXV ; fizzlesticks ; Fintastic! ; Dieses Madchen ; Matty_ ; fluttermoth, my fish are more alive if not happy. NOw that was then after going through multiple articles about Betta and your suggestions I fouund the perfect companions for my Betta.
Best thing NO Fin NIpping;NO Aggressive attacks; NO Chasing around ; No flaring (duh same thing); Everyone is having a hell of a party in there :shout:

Please Check the pics and see for yourself  :hyper:

How big is the tank those minnow looking fish (danios/glofish) need about 4 foot tanks, and I am happy that you found compatible fish for your Betta and that they are all happy

Sorry to break it to you, but those fish need a much bigger tank than a 20L and need to ideally be in a shoal of 6.

So the tank is 20 liters? If so almost no fish can live with a Betta in there maybe a couple of endlers, the fish you have in there require a 4 foot tank please return them and get a shrimp instead

fishyfriend, why does he need a 4 foot tank. danios are only 2 inches in size full adult size?

They are very active schooling fish and this is what I ahem heard from and that they can zoom around in a tank super fast and cover the tank in a second or 2

And I think a 3 foot would be fine but a lot of people insist on a 4 foot tank

i had some in a 3ft and felt this just wasn't big enough, then they got rehomed to an 8ft with someone locally and boy can you see these guys swim! they must cover the 8ft in 3seconds :hyper:

yup danios need a really large tank! very active!! crunch...you are more than welcome m8. thats what we're here for! any time...
have a wee look at my last post in your previous thread..i tried to explain a wee bit about the danios!! your betta looks great! lovely colour and he seems like a happy boy!! just give us a shout if you need anymore help!

L :good:

I didnt realise they had to be in big tanks. I havnt found that info anywhere. Ok consider myself told :hyper:

lol!! we all make mistakes m8!! anyone who claims not to is a barefaced liar!!! :shout:

I have 8 Danio's in a 4 foot tank, they whizz about all day from end to end and seem to enjoy the filter outlet and air stones!! :)

They are compatible in a big tank though. only issue them zipping around you can`t really enjoy your betta. My danios are no more mine, they have gone to a much better place. :good:

Aloha guys,
I wanted to add that my long fin Zebra Danios are hyperactive little athletes as well. They are fast and agile little things that I bought a small shoal of 6 of them to to cycle my 30g long... They shoot around at lightning speed changing directions twice in the blink of an eye! Super cool to watch...
I've seen them kept in small tanks and they are extremely hardy little buggers, they can SURVIVE in all kinds of less-than-ideal circumstances (I.e. Small numbers and tiny tanks... I even saw at an LFS a single one living with 2 GIANT Oscars for more than 7 months before he got relocated)

But can imagine them worrying a Betta (who tend to swim SLOWLY as they drag those bed sheets for fins around) I know my little school of Danios were worrying the balloon Mollies I Added to the 30g long tank after it had cycled.

I keep Triops with my Betta to clean the tank bottom. I have also heard they get along well with peaceful bottom dwellers like Kuhli Loaches and Cory cats.

Good luck with yours ;)
cheers
