how long do you have to float bettas in the tank to get them ready and how long does it take to make a nest? thanks

Floating them in the water (acclimatizing) usually takes about 30 mins to 1 hour. The slower you go, the better the bettas will feel in the tank.
It can take the male up to 3 days to make a bubblenest, although if it's taking him any longer, he might not be good to breed
