Three Spinned Sticklebacks

That is a determined and feisty little fish :fish:

Sorry to hear of the loss as well.

That male is a psychopath! He may break the glass. lol

Latest Stickleback News is that the psychopathic male appears to have some kind of mouth parasite. Last week he had a thin fleshy protrusion, about 2mm long hanging from his lower lip. It disappeared and he was fine for a day or two, but now his mouth remains jammed open, and he is clearly stuggling to respire and feed. I read that Sticklebacks are a much-parasitised species. Perhaps my fishes are victims. Does anyone have any experience of this? :(

Sad news. My Psychopathic Stickleback died. His mouth was wide open, so I suspected parasites had restricted his respiration. I did a discetion and in addition to fleshy protrubencies in his throat, to my amazement, I found a bright orange organ, filled with little white spots. I looked jusr like a roe. But this was a male and I'm not aware that Sticklebacks are parthenogenetic. Any expert opinion gratefully received.
