I'm coming to the end of my Tetra AquaSafe tap water conditioner which i was given by a friend. It's the only one i've used so far (big bottle, small tank!).

In your experience, which is the best value you've come across? In terms of £/ml. You might be able to cheaply buy a big bottle, but you need to dose a lot to treat a small amount of water. On the other hand, a smaller bottle with more concentrated liquid will dose an equal amount.

So, best value?

Best value is always going to be pond dechlorinator. However these tend to come in quite large volumes (it's meant to be treating 100's of litres at a time obv). Also for small water changes you could struggle to measure out such a small amount of conditioner.

Personally I go for seachem prime. My 500ml bottle is still going strong after over a year. It's very concentrated but comes in the easily stored 500ml size.

I'm using nutrafin aqua plus but switching to Seachem Prime once the bottle runs out :good:

Pond Fresh Start 1L around £17 delivered off ebay or about £18 from your LFS.
