Hi,

Can anyone suggest the best way to split this stocking over two 60l tanks please?

7 albino corydoras
6 sterbai corydoras
2 dwarf gouramis (or would just 1 be much, much better?)
3 honey gouramis
4 gold guppies
12 green neon rasboras
6 bleeding heart tetra or diamond tetra

I know both would be stocked to capacity, but I do big weekly water changes, all are peaceful fish, and I am over filtered - both with Fluval U2 (up to 110l)

Thanks

For me some of those fish get too big for a 60 liter tank. The Bleeding Hearts and Diamonds especially - they are big fish, forget thinking they are just tetras like neons they are big disk tetras especially the Bleeding Hearts.

And on top of that it sounds a lot of fish for each tank

60 liters is about 15 gallons and those numbers dont add up to me... I think you have some random numbers there as well.

For me as well in that tank I would avoid the larger cory species like the albino or sterbai - pandas would do great in there though.

So for me I would do

tank 1

1 dwarf gouramis 1m 2f
8 green neon rasboras
6 panda cories

tank 2

4 gold guppies
8 green neon rasboras
6 panda cories

You just need to know the limits of your tank. And if you want more fish in that tank think smaller! Perhaps

3 Pygmy Gourami
10 Galaxy Rasbora
10 Pygmy Cories

You could always add some cherry shrimp to any of these tank as well and it should work the gourami might prove an issue with them but it should be okay.

Thanks a lot!

I hadn't realised the bleeding heart and diamond tetras got so big - I'll scratch the idea of those.

I already have the rest of the fish unfortunately, but according to the ##150### calculator, I'd only be at 89% stocking across the two?

I was a bit concerned about the safety of the rasboras around the dwarf gouramis (they rasboras are tiny, around the size of ember tetras) and also whether or not the dwarf gouramis would go after the guppies tails. Do you think then that the rasboras wouldn't be seen as food? In which case...

Without buying more/getting rid of more stock, how about the below

tank 1
4 guppies
3 honey gourami
7 albino cories

tank 2
dwarf gouramis (currently 2 male, can rehome 1?)
12 green neon rasbora
6 sterbai cories

hmmmm I wouldnt always trust that calculator personally...

I think your other lists look okay - but the risks you highlighted could happen... thats why I didnt put the gourami with the guppies. I would maybe have a think about a bigger tank if possible?
