Best peaceful shoaling fish for community tank?

I'm looking for ideas for peaceful shoaling fish for my 33 gallon community tank. They don't need to be peaceful, I would like to add a bit of drama to my tank..
I've already chose cories as bottom feeding and shoaling fish, but I'm looking for top and middle swimming fish

Tank dimensions:

80x45x35cm

Water hardness:

253ppm, which is equal to 15dGH I believe?

What about forktail rainbows? @vanalisa has them. They dont stick super close together but would look amazing! I've always wanted them but my water is too soft. You have the perfect hardness
