Hi,

Awhile back I wanted to set-up an open top glass nano aquarium. But the glass tanks available at the LFS looked tatty, compared to the one's I have seen in pictures.

Through research I've discovered that the type of tank that I wanted is a braceless, clear glass "optibright" tank. I've also discovered that they appear to be very expensive!

I have all the gear: stand, heater, T5s, protein skimmer and wave maker and just need the glass tank. BUT, the glass tank would cost me (including delivery) about £200.

BUT, I can get a Orca TL450 nano with stand for about £189.

So, what do you guys think is the best course of action? Sell existing gear and go down the tl450 route, or get the braceless tank?

you can get a nice nano and stand much cheaper.

and just to let you know its opti-White :good:

very true!

eBay, try it! I will go 2nd hand, you get extras, and save a Bonn too! For £200 on eBay you could find a nice setup! Re interprt river reef 94l are going CHEAP ATM with test kits etc, orcas pop up cheap aswell, a few weeks back a tl450 went with stand for £35.oo!
