One of my tanks has finished fishless cycle so im just geting everything ready for the fish, I need to buffer my PH once iv done a large water change to remove most the nitrate, My question is: when I raise my PH will the beneficial bacteria tolerate an instant change in the PH ? I dont want to kill off all the BB and end up with dead fish because it cant handle the bio load.

Why are you needing to buffer after your cycle?

Setting up a cichlids tank, and my tap water PH and hardness isn't perfect so will be adding TMC Tropic Marin Pro Cichlid Mineral and wanted to make sure the sudden change won't harm the BB.

I would raise the pH fairly slowly over two or three days, just to be on the safe side, but it shouldn't affect the bacteria much, they're pretty tough things.

Nope- not a serious worry. In fact your bacteria will do better in African cichlid water- they have problems with low pH and a lack of carbonates not the reverse.
