Just putting another thought out there as a fish species to go with your Borneo Suckers, I don't know if Pacific Blue Eyes are available where you are but they are a beautiful little fish in breeding colour (males get really out there finnage) they stay small. tolerate different temps, are peaceful and like flow. Just an idea besides Danios.

Yep the little Aussie Blue Eye is a pretty unusual fish, and don't get as big as rainbows.
