Banned List For My Lfs

I admit it, I am a serial fish buyer!!. I went in today to get some cherry shrimp and only some cherry shrimp, I went in all determined, focused on my goal, I went straight to the tanks to make sure they had them. I was so proud of myself as I went up to the counter to ask for them............... I came out with 6 shrimp, 2 plants and 5 fish!!. Please I need a big banned sign behind the counter I can go on so they refuse to sell me any more. Is there a fish verion of AA?

Im the same. I buy my crickets for my beardies from my lfs and its so hard to walk past the fish, they just laugh at me!

I have a "thing" for wood at the moment. Everytime I go to a lfs, I come home with another piece. Soon my tank is going to be full of wood with no swimming space for the fish!

i also always rummage through the wood bins, despite not really having room for anymore. also, ive been to 3 LFS in the last 3 days, and havnt brought any fish. im so proud of myself. :lol:

i am currently trying to shift some fish out of my tank though, so i can go buy some more.

I'm the same! I think I am with fish how other women are with shoes.

I'm actually frustrated at the moment coz I have no more room for any more fish. Sensibly anyway.

Oh im the same, I love my shoes but cant resist a lovely fish. Up until 2 weeks ago I was planning on upgrading my tank purely because I love buying a new fish at the weekend. I just have to buy something. Now I have distracted myself by setting up a whole new tank but this time marine

Should keep me occupied for a while.

That is my issue, my 200 litre is just about half stocked now, but once that is done and I am happy with everything, my 700 litre will be getting installed ready to start cycling and oh may that will hold a lot of fish :hyper:

I had a serious fish buying problem in 2010 when I returned to fish keeping, I bought tons of fish AND my 300L tank wasn't even cycled, so I crammed them into a 125L. -_-

Luckily, I'm not off my head anymore, and I don't have my fish buying problem anymore. :good:

How did you cure yourself??

I went to my LFS this morning just to get a small piece of wood. Just one small piece of wood.
Came home with:

4 pieces of wood
2 x bottles of Aquasafe (they were have a special on Tetra products)
2 x tins of Tetra Prima
2 x tins of Tetra Crisps
A pack of frozen daphnia

I really have to stop!!!!

How did you cure yourself??

I went to my LFS this morning just to get a small piece of wood. Just one small piece of wood.
Came home with:

4 pieces of wood
2 x bottles of Aquasafe (they were have a special on Tetra products)
2 x tins of Tetra Prima
2 x tins of Tetra Crisps
A pack of frozen daphnia

I really have to stop!!!!

Reading my old fish books, relearning about overstocking, and how badly it can affect the aquarium. TBH you don't have a problem since it means you never run out of fish food or dechlorinator...speaking of which, I need to buy some :fun:

Hehe yes mate, its known as mts....multiple tank syndrome,.....i have these problem, at the height of fish keeping i had 8 tanks and was looking at getting some 300gallons, but at present i have nothing, until i settle fully in colombia<south america> imagine my plans, :hey:
