Bamboo In Aquarium

Hey i have a 20l aquarium with a betta with 28 celsius water temp. should i add bamboo in the tank is it gonna lower my nitrate levels?And i think my betta whould think hes home in Siam if i add bamboo...I have plenty of bamboo at my local shop for flowers...It whould be very nice to add live plants,im just afraid if its bad for the plant to stay 80% or more underwater..Fast replys please Hope other people have some bamboo in their tanks

You need a lot of plants to reduce nitrate; water changes are better

Bamboo won't grow submerged; you can use the dead canes as decoration, but they do rot quite quickly. Proper aquarium plants would be better

I dont think it was in Siam but im sure it will feel good with some plants that his ancestors have lived in

I You sayd bamboo wong grow submerged but can it atleast live ?

I don't think bettas live anywhere near bamboo

The stuff in that tank is dead stalks; it will die and rot if you try and grow it in the tank, I'm afraid.
