Hmm, a female betta if you are not going to take the otos. Or, perhaps another small gourami, or maybe some livebearer, such as a female platy. Another pretty main fish would be perhaps rams (depending on the size of your aquarium).

I like some bettas, I will drive to the local shops tomoz and see what they stock my aquarium is 10l

But I thought it was 1" per gallon. 3 gallons = 3" of fish would a shrimp really throw it that much out of balance? just want it to vaccum the spare food?

no in a small tank the 1" a gallon rule goes out the window as there has to be space for the fish to swim

So 1" puffer is pretty much it then. How many endlers, live bearers or tetras could I put in there in your opinion?

that is all crap, no fish will be happy in 10 litres there isnt enough space for any livebearer as they are very active, and minnows are shoaling fish and are very active
