After about 8 months away looks like I am setting up again! Unfortunately I am back with parents after a relationship break-up but does allow me a lot more time and to do what I have always wanted to and set-up 6-10 small tanks for some awesome little species.

Not got room for the old Rio 180 so may be selling that to fund the new investments. Going to set-up a timber rack in my bedroom and put a few tanks into it. Not sure on exact spec yet but could do with some advice regarding the separation/dividing of smaller tanks and the heating/filtration of them. Going for several different smaller plec species and at least 1 fighter. Any advice on other smaller species that don't do too much swimming as the tanks ain't going to be very big!!

GOOD TO BE BACK!!

Personally, I think there is a lot more potential in 4 to 6 medium tanks opposed to 6 to 10 small tanks....Consider it carefully before you make a final decision.....

I am looking at tanks of about 18" in length as my maximum as that is all my bedroom will allow!!!

I need help with the best way to filter these tanks also as I don't really want to have separate filters in each, any ideas would be greatly appeciated.

Is there also anyway I can split the tank in half yet still only use 1 filter and 1 heater?? I thought about drilling lots of holes in acrylic and separating it with that. Any thoughts?
