ive had my baby platty for over a week. i have kept it in a breeding box i the tabk for over a week. i notice the bottom of the box is quite dirty. i pull it in and out of the water so it refills with fresher tank water. how do i clean the breeding box without it escaping?

would if be possible to keep it in a quite big plastic box? i have a spare filter. that way it will have plenty of room to grow. or will the plastic container contaminate the water?
i dont want to stop my babies growth by keeping it in a box. ive only found one baby so i think the others must have been eatten. (i didnt even know my fish was pregnant. i only got her a couple of weeks ago)

i want to do whats best for the little guy.

I placed my fry in a small plastic box with a tiny filter and heater and they did fine

When I raised fry I had a small 5 gallon tank with filter and heater and raised them for their first month there, then they were big enough to transfer.

thanks guys. i have a heater but its for a 150l tank.
my water temperature stays about 26-27°c because my house is warm. will i get away without a heater?
