just got back from my LFS and they had 6 baby oscar's in @ £4.50 each... wish i had a tank big enough..

Was at mine the other day. There was a pair of Adults about 14" each! Nearly got them but took a Jaguar home instead

My old buddies!!! I used to have a pair in my 6ft tank 12" and 10" still got the scars on my hand to prove it too! lol

Yes thats the going rate for juvi's.....I got a breeding pair of tigers for free, Problem is alot of people get them not knowing there max size, so theres always ad's for rehoming oscars

I'd definitely have an oscar if they didn't grow so large!!! I love them when their smaller than the palm of your hand...cute and innocent...I especially like the white and orange ones. Somewhat angelic despite the bulldog shape.

I think someone a couple months back gave their oscar to our LFS due to the sheer size of it. It was in an itybity tank and on hold for someone. He had a label on his tank. His name was "Killer". I bet that fish had to be at least 12 inches long and it was in a tank it could barely turn around in. And he had some attitude too! He was impressive. He didn't stay there long so whomever was getting him didn't have him in a small tank for more than a week or two. I should have asked about the story on Killer.

Saw someone with a pair of oscars and a lobster in a Fluval Edge on Craigslist a few months ago. ARG!
