Fellow Kangaroo riders,
anyone know of/used a decent australian online plant store and could help me out?
Specifically looking for anubias but any site would be sweet.
Cheers

Oh sorry page hadn't updated, which would you recommend price/quality wise?

Theyre both expensive compared to LFS. I f you like Aussie natives then aquagreen if you want international fish and plants livefish. In Australia its hard to get rare fish cos of quarantine. :/

No doubt about that :/ All I need is 2 anubias barteri or even nana, not anything special just not willing to pay the $25 to get an average at best quality anubias from my local store :/ Fish I can actually get in pretty easily as I'm close mates with a guy who actually runs a cichlid breeding wholesale farm. He doesn't have many different species, but can get them for the wholesale price. For example, he recently told me he picked up 150 3cm angels for $100. Pretty neat!

Livefish sells anubias plants at about 5-10$ each. If you want them on soemthing your looking at 20$+ each :/ . Aqua green doesn't have anubias unfortunately.

Good deal with the angels though, they cost 15$ a piece here. And that's for 3cm sizes.

Yeah, that's the beauty of buying in bulk really :) I had a look through liveFish, all anubias seemed to be either $20 or greater .. :/

I specifically do not want them attached to anything, could you link me the prices you saw?? Cheers

ooooo looks pretty good! Heres my tank, which would you recommend?

I'm planning on putting one in the very centre of that driftwood piece (the photo doesn't show it well but there is a perfect area for it to attach), as well as one on top of a terracotta pot which will replace the coconut cave.

Anubias do much better growing on stuff, not in stuff.
You could attachs some anubias to the driftwood you have in there. Maybe with some fontinalis/ riccia moss growing up it. You can get the moss from livefsh as well.
It's a lovely tank. What are the plants in the back right? The long grassy ones.

By 'in' the centre I mean the oval shaped hole encompassed by the driftwood, not physically inside the wood :p
Not a huge fan of the moss to be honest, I prefer the sharp clean look and do anything to get rid of any algae, let alone moss haha.

Thanks, those are corkscrew vallis, in front of them are cryptocoryne wendtii, and on the left are species of hygrophilia. You can find a journal to this tank here.
