At Times This Hobby Is Unnecessarily Exspensive

Sakura shrimp! Aka renaming shrimp in an effort to charge £5.00 per regular cherry shrimp.
Haha, I just searched sakura shrimp and it was like "very rare in the hobby!" $59 for 10 and they look just like cherry shrimp :eek:sama:

Yup here's my recent import straight from Osaka Japan. I call my lfs Osaka, and my aquarium japan

Is it a female or just a well-fed shrimp?
The pet shop I went to get my apple snails from had lots of cherry shrimp, I was almost tempted to get one, but for just 8 RON ($2.39), I got 2 apple snails and I love them. They are an extremely useful addition due to cleaning up not only the sand but the plants too. (No idea if they should clean the sand, but that's what they like doing right now).
The cherries were a bit more expensive. Around 10 RON for one. o_O

I don't feed them and in truth, I'm strongly, against feeding shrimp. I have a planted tank and the shrimp are the janitors. I believe that when they eat algae and dying plants etc they get that color naturally. They get so red that everyone thinks I bought sakura shrimp but they were just regular shrimp from my lfs...

If I had no scruples I'm guessing I could sell them at extortionate prices via ebay but I believe in karma too much to defraud people.

I don't feed my apple snails either (I tried, but they just don't like anything but my rotten plant leaves and whatever they find so tasty in the sand...)
Too bad they only had golden snails, I see so many variations of them online... And for some odd reason, my snails change color during the day, they become pink over their flesh. o_O

Where did you buy those???? Glowlights are like $1.99 at petco and GBR are $5.99 at petsmart!!! $32 cuts what you spent in half!!

I dont like how much stuff costs, imagine this $8.50 for 1 cardinal tetra. What would you say when I told you that was at my LFS. Then $6 for 1 rummynose.

 I'm moving to Georgia, Hurray! Only St. Louis is my favorite city {in book form, as I have never been there} Go Laurell K Hamilton!!!!!!!!!

Mine sells swordtails for less than $1 or $1 and a few cents (in RON that's around 3 to 3.5 RON). That's what I like about it. And healthy ones too.
But the plants... -.- holy angelfish, they can cost you a good $2.97 or more (note that the $2.97 is just a moss ball. Cabomba is around $3 or a bit more).

Have to agree although in order to get the foods I feed my fish I either have to go online or do a two hour plus round trip in order to get it. My LFS is terrible, they mainly sell dog/cat food and have a small selection of cold water fish along with the usual, rubbish, cheap fish foods.
I don't mind the drive if I'm getting fish but if I'm not then I usually drop her off at some shoe shops in order to get what I need (would definitely work out cheaper online doing it this way) and hope she hasn't bought the shop.

PAH are selling bogwood on a 3 for 2 for £12 , got 3 pieces including one that weighed 3kg dry !!!!
