At a car show, this gorgeous fly visited.

This is a Long Legged Fly (Condylostylus patibulatus) that came and sat on my knee at today’s car show. So cool, harmless, and really pretty.

I love the close up. So, this insect doesn't sting? We don't have that one overhere...

Yeh……this was a Diptera (fly) while I’ve collected and studied Lepidoptera and Coleoptera (butterflies/moths and beetles) for 60+ years. Nature never ceases to amaze me.

Geez Man ! You’re like the Jacque Cousteau of all creatures in nature . Knowing what kind of fly that is impresses the dickens out of me .

, but remember that I’m a retired biology teacher who has all his hobbies related to life….well, except for my antique cars. Insect collecting 60+ years, fishing, ponding, gardening, wood carving, camping, Collie dogs, and tropical fish.
I really can’t sit still too long……unless…….I happen to meditate with my eyes closed.
