At a car show, we had an eagle nest right above our cars

Went to a car show today at a city park in northern IL and up in the top of a sycamore tree was a pair of Bald Eagles with two near fledgling eaglets. I am glad my car was not under that tree. The nest was absolutely huge…..the size of my car
Oh…..btw…..I got ‘Best Import’.

My car (red and black one) is a 1980 Datsun 280ZX…10th Anniversary Edition….of which only 500 were produced. Mine is #241. Back then I was just in HS and early college and couldn’t afford these ZX cars that were SO cool. I would pick up my date (present wife) in my 1971 AMC Hornet and say….”here I am in my poor man’s ZX”. Then after mortgage was paid, girls grown up, and I had some extra $, I decided I’d drive this before I croak. I actually have two…..the other is a 1983 and is just a regular ZX.

I drove a friend's 280ZX around that time frame. I remember the ride was excellent...great handing and very comfortable ride. And it looked cool even just sitting still.

Nice cars! My brother has owned and restored several old Z cars over the years. He’s a huge Nissan enthusiast.
