Arghh Can't Make My Mind Up!

I keep changing my mind on what I want lol. I have a moderately planted tank with 2 pieces of bogwood, my stocking is as follows:
4 x harlequin rasbora (trigonostigma heteromorpha)
4 x trigonostigma hengeli

I originally had 4 harleuin rasbora and went to buy 4 more. I saw a tank in the LFS labelled harlequins so I asked the guy in the shop and he told me they were harlequin rasboras, so I went ahead and bought them however now having them in my tank they are defitiely different!
So now I have 2 kinds of fish with too smaller shoals( they do kind of shoal but the hengeli are more active and will not really shoal, so I am rethinking my stocking ideas to this:


6 or 8 x harlequin rasbora (trigonostigma heteromorpha)
6 or 8 x trigonostigma hengeli
6 x panda corydoras
and a few cherry shrimp

What do people think of thi new stocking idea?

yeh I'm not sure whether to increase to 8 or six though, I think I will increase to 8. One thing I've noticed about the hengeli is that will will pick at food off the sand whereas the trigonostigma heteromorpha won't, they are also alot less shy and more active,

How long has the tank been running?

Just asking because the panda cories you are thinking about are one of the most delicate cory and will require pristine conditions.

Continuing the mainly Asian small fish theme, Sawbwa Barbs (sometimes called the Asian Rummynose) are stunning! I saw some in the flesh for the first time on Tuesday in Titchfield, in a tank with Rummynose at Maidenhead Aquatics.

Good call on the asian rummy noses Goat I would perhaps consider adding them as well, whats your filtration like on the tank? If its a decent turn over I would perhaps do 8 of each of the schoolers + the asian rummy noses and then just an idea, rather than the cories to keep it asian you could consider dwarf chain loaches rather than cories? Also just a few other thoughts rather than the other school of rummy noses, maybe consider an asian mini feature fish like sparkling gourami or badis.

Odessas look great, but what is the temprement like of your group, nelly?

I'm a bit worrired about wanting too many fish in my 240, but I'm trying to find a way of adding both a trio of Puntius densonii and a sixtet of Puntius rhombeloocellus... Aquajardin are doing a stunning deal on Redline Torpedos, a pair for £16 less the normal livestock 10%!

The tanks been running for about 2 months now UI was going to wait till last to add the panda cory's, but may change my mind alltogether, I have a juwel rokord 800 with the standard filter lighting etc.
I think 3 schools would be too many but I like the idea of some mini feature fish. Anyone got any ideas? I haven't heard of badis before i'll look them up now. I'll also have alook at some alternatives to panda cory's I was thinking kuhli loachs a while ago but decided I want something I'll see lol.

Sterbai cories are really nice but a bit more pricey than your average cories, depends on where you get them from and at what size, I have 7 sterbais in my tank, 3 small ones that were £5 a piece and 4 large ones that were £12.50 each.
