Trumpet snails are great! I have a few hundred in one of my tank, and I am trying to start populations in my other tanks (55g's) The only two problems I have with getting them to settle in those tanks are a 7" severum and 6" Uaru 
These snails keep food from rotting and are very good to have in sand substrate tanks
