Are These Gouramis Male And Female?

I don't know enough to say definately, but female gourami's tend to be smaller and less colourful than the male. That almost looks like two different species though...probably just the photo though. Sorry, don't know enough to give a definate answer.

I would of said the one further away was male and the one closer up is female, But yet again I know nothing of Gourami's so another pointless post

well i have 2 female and 1 male pearl gouramis the males dorsal fin is much longer than the females which is generaly shorter and more rounded . im assuming this to be the case with other gouramis but not sure. perhaps somebody more knowledgeable could confirm
