That is what I thought, I can remember years ago I had the same thing in one of my tanks.
mystery snails don't lay eggs underwater yours must have fallen. Correct?
I'm thinking they could have fallen off the lid and landed on the plant like thatMystery snail eggs are laid in a clump, the stuff in the picture looks like it is individual eggs on strands.

frog eggs or some weird fish poop and that is weird even by my definition.
