I decided to try and hand rear another batch of metae eggs, the parents always eat the eggs, so this time I thought I would give it a go. As last time most of the eggs have gone white :( but I have around 20 wrigglers this morning :)

Thats pretty cool :) might need to put my name down for a couple but not sure :)

Wills

I dont know why these are so difficult to raise :( last time I only had 7 (I think), I guess its why they are so rare to find because they are not that easy to raise, spawning yep got that sussed lol.

I wont be letting them go to new homes till next year now I will want to see how they are growing before I move them on. So plenty of time to have a think Wills, providing I manage to raise these :)

Minnt you love me really lol lol lol

Dougie, you will have to post a pics of your metae :)

This was a few months ago, from my phone.,.

The top fish is almost double the size now from the lower pic, the smaller of the two still pretty much the same size

Well I got them from quite a reputable supplier ;)
I love them. The larger one can change its colouration surprisingly fast, depending on mood I suppose. I don't understand why they're not in more popular, lovely fish.

ooooooohhhh they are looking grand :) beautiful colouration too :)

:) Thanks Dougie :)

*Sigh* slight desaster last night, Waldo my single red breast acara baby managed to get through the divider, I have gone from 32 babies down to 19 :( (greedy sod!!) waldo has now been moved to another tank, the remaining babies are wriggling away still with huge eggs sacks. I will be a while before my camera will pick them up as they are so tiny.
