Got chatting to a bloke at work who I didn't know kept tropical fish, turns out he has the same tank as myself (Aqua One 620T) whilst discussing fish & such like, he mentioned he had a RTBS, which I at first thought wasn't suitable for the style of tank, (Tall instead of long) he then went on to say he also has two bala sharks. I know these sharks are somewhat compatible together but surly three sharks in this type of tank is a no no unless there still juveniles.

Anyway I've always wanted a RTBS but I was wondering how accepting are the LFS at taking the fish back when it get's to big for your tank, also my friend has Albino cories & I was under the impression that Cories & RTBS shouldn't be put together ??

Well balas should be in groups of 6 minimum and IMO RTBS and Balas shouldnt be kept in the same tank unless its over 120G
What are the measurements of your tank?

Not sure on cories and RTS

as snake said, balas need MASSIVE tanks and to be in groups.

Personally I would not be looking to buy a fish that I know will get too big for my tank on the premise of returning it to the LFS.

It's basically a 4ft tank put on it's head... 72cm tall, 61cm long, 38cm Deep, 130lts... I love the RTBS but I'm also sensible about what can go in the tank, I was gob-smacked when I found out my friend had three sharks but he wouldn't be told.

it's only 2 foot wide then? RTBS are highly territorial, and probably need more than a 2 foot tank floor to be happy. Anything else also inhabiting the floor of the tank might be at risk.....but it can depend on the temperament of the individula fish.
