Aquaclear 50 Maybe A Bit Of An Overkill On A 10 Gallon ?

Wanna know if it's too much for it, plus i think there's a flow nob on it so idk yet.

i use an ac 30 on my ten. but you can just adjust the flow on yours (right is low) and it will filter better because the water circulates inside the filter longer

it would also make it a good tank for sand if you like sand because it will have enough flow where nothing will sit on the sand and you shouldnt ever have to vacuum it

aquaclear 50 is 200GPH....so yes its far overkill
 
however, if you already have the filter i would say use it, as others have said you can turn the flow down....
 
if your buying a new filter for it, go with the AQ 30....or even AQ 20 would be enough
 
AQ 20 is 100GPH.....which is still adequate for a 10 gallon tank

Right now i don't have anything in it, just about to set it up, cause on amazon it was like 28 for the AQ 20 and 32 for the AQ 30 then 35 for the AQ 50, and i just wanted the best deal for my money, plus it gives me more options when i get a bigger tank in the future, and yes i have a sand substrate.
