Aqadvisor Error?

Throwing around what cichlids to have.

I went onto AqAdvisor and put "Severum" in and it said i can keep one? And others around here say they need 75 gallons?

Yet AQ advisor says it onlytakes up 63% of the space.

Again, Im gonna to disagree, Severums can reach 12", more likely 10" and are very chunky active fish, a rio 180 isnt large enough, Im on the 75g tank minimum side of any arguement regarding severum tank size.

Just dont take it as 100% right. Always get more than one opinion. I dont trust Aqadvisor

I do admit AqAdvisor is still weak on larger species. Most of the feedback so far have been on smaller species so most of the larger species are using original data from various profile sites, which often are conflicting and turns out wrong too. With few rounds of good feedback like this one, I am confident that they will be corrected. My goal is to have every species receive good feedback from those who are knowledgeable on specific species.

For the next few months, I will be focusing on fixing larger species so in time, I believe AqAdvisor's data for them will become more accurate.

For Severum, I will change the minimum tank size to 48x18. As for Oscar, it is already at this size so I'm not sure why you ended up with the impression that you need minimum 120g...

Minx Says 75 gallons because it gives em more swimming room

Others say 55.

Im getting blood parrots for my 48 gallon.
Yet i dont know how many i can fit in there

I'd stick to one blood parrot, 2 in cichlid terms is normally not a good idea either by themselves or in a large group. Aquaadvisor is good, still needs tweaking but a good job's been done on it, give it time it'll be spot on

They only grow 6" smaller than servs and blood parrots!
