Aqadvisor Error?

Ellioti will max out around 6", I doubt this site even has a profile for them, but they are a species of Thorichthys, like the firemouth (Meeki) but less aggressive and far more colourful.

Yup Minxy is right, I cant find them on the site anywhere!

Poor ikkle Ellioti's they are always missed lol

Have you looked to see if you can get blood parrots? Please don't buy the hideous dyed ones :(

Otherwise I'd say you'd be better getting a couple of star4's elliotti, they are gorgeous fish.

With 2 of them you could add a bristlenose (won't mind the harder gravel too much if you have plenty of wood) and maybe a small school of smaller fish.

 If only some-one will update that website.

And Minx?

Why does Aqadvisor say i can keep a severum in my tank? YET they are ALOT bigger then blood parrots?

I Know blood parrots are more aggresive? does this have something to do with it??

Because the site is wrong, simple as. As already stated, they havent taken into account many large cichlids in their profiles yet and even then, they probably only go on what google tells you, trust me, you see a full sized severum, you would never want to put it in anything less than a 4ft, 18" tank minimum. See the photo in my sig? That is a 5ft tank, see that large (not full grown yet) severum, now take two foot of that tank size and where would he swim?

I agree with Indigo, you should look at getting some of the Ellioti, you could then have some bottom dwellers and a good sized shoal or two of tetras, barbs etc. BP, you could have one, but I wouldnt add two, they can be aggressive and in that size tank, there is no room to hide.

You can use the firemouth profile as a rough guide for Ellioti, but the Ellioti is far less agressive than the firemouth and much as I love my little firemouth the Ellioti is really stunning. Not the greatest info

http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/other/thorichthys_ellioti.html

and the picture is rubbish lol

I Know.

Thats why i was confused over the fact AQ Advisor said i could keep 4 severums ( At that point. I Was thinking "What the .... Minx's Severum would NEVER fit in my tank. So i dont know How on EARTH i could fit 4 severums in. )

And yes I Know Blood parrots can be sold as "Jelly Bean Parrots" And They Could be inked.

Im going for the natural orange cutey ones

I cant advice on BP's as I have never had one, but from the info I have read on them I agree with Minxy, only get one for your tank, 2 would be asking for trouble!

:good: Will Do.

I'll proberly get a bristlenose aswel?

I Dont think that will cause much trouble would it?? Or maybe add my unidentified plec.

( i dont know if he's a common plec. or anything. I DID actuly see him out he's cave yesterday as mom kind of spooked him out of the ship. )

I Will have to get some comfirminifaction on him ( hope i splet confirmiaction right o_O? )
