They are useless!!! I've dropped 4 in 2 days and they just break into tiny bits. They should be made of plastic :D

Anyway does anyone know if they sell replacements? I've looked online but the all say discontinued :(

Thanks
Phil

had my 4 for about 2 years, stop dropping them Mr Spastic hands!

Check eBay, there are loads and loads of measuring tubes and you will probably find some api ones.

stop being nice, and say what you really think! :)

OP:
if you live in australia, you can have my spares (just bought another API kit). Otherwise...

start dating a chemist until she coughs up some testtubes?

ask your kid to 'borrow' some from school?

Don't have kids ;) I'm not that old lol
And it's right at the point I put the water in they just seem to jump out my hands and smash!!

I wish I did live in Australia bet the weather is nicer than here.

I shall check fleabay now see if I can find anything.

buy any glass test tubes that can hold 10ml

buy a plastic syringe that can measure 5ml (so you dont need the line on the glass)

job done

I was breaking the official API ones all the time, and they're so expensive to buy too.

In the end I bought a bunch of generic brand glass test tubes and use a syringe to measure out 5ml (though you could use a marker to mark the 5ml line if you wanted). I've yet to break one of these. Considering what they're charging for a test kit, they could at least make the tubes a little bit more robust.

In regards to plastic tubs, a little tidbit of info for you - I had a plastic tube once, it came with a different brand of test I once had. The test solution ended up staining the plastic, making it impossible to tell what the true colour was. That's why glass is recommended.

4 x £1.90 plus delivery (no doubt) = £13 ish?

Might as well get a whole new test kit off eBay for £20. :)

Suppose so but they did ask where to get them from not the price so I found them these.

They mint want to order other things to make the p+ p more worth while

edit: its free delivery on orders over 25 motes so stock up things you need aswell save a trip to the lfs!
