I use API Stress Zyme Plus and am just looking to order over internet to save cost. Is there any difference between the plus and just API Stress Zyme?

I've used both of those until i found Seachem's product "Prime" that is amazing stuff best out there at the moment I know it looks a lot more expensive but it's vey concentrated 5ml treats 200 litres so there 250ml bottle will treat 10,000 litres. Switch if you can.

Thanks for that. However I dont want to change, I'm just interested if there is any difference between the Stress Zyme Plus product and Stress Zyme? Does anyone know?

to be honest i dont even think that Stress Zyme stuff actually works

all it is is a bottle of "live" bacteria which are most likely dead its like setting up a new tank doing a fishless cycle if your dont add ammonia the bacteria cant feed and multiply and spread through your tank, so whats keeping the bacteria in the bottle alive? nothing all thats in them bottles is water and bacteria so whats keeping the bacteria alive? waste of money if you ask me

Ive used it for 2 years with a dechlorinator for water changes and have had no problems. I get what youre saying but when my setup has been going so well I'm loathed to change anything.

Anyone know if there is a difference to stress zyme compared to stress zyme plus?

I think what Matty was saying is this alone to cycle your tank is proven useless...if you are using it WITH dechlorinater, then its the dechlor thats keeping your tank successful, NOT the zyme.
Personally i would save your money. But your choice.

stress zyme is a bacterial additive for new tanks, stress coat is a decloinator with aloe vera, why not use that instead. di

the point im trying to make is that if you already have a established tank with mature filter media you have no reason to use stuff like the Stress Zyme. if you dechlorinate your water when doing a water change then you will be fine, you dechlorinate your water to stop the chlorine thats in your tap water killing off the bacteria in your tank. so save your money and stop buying bottles of stress zyme and keep buying bottles of dechlorinator because thats what you really need.

the bacteria is held is a solution and is activated once added to water, it does work, how well is subject to
question, but you dont need it after a first few days of starting your tank up unless you remove all fish for a while. di

There isnt a whole lot of difference between Stress Zyme and Stress Zyme Plus, I think the 'Plus' is the more recent one that they improved slightly, making a little more effective.

Its a good product and doesnt hurt at all to top up with a bit whenever doing a water change or filter cleans.

Thanks to everyone for all the answers. I really just wanted to know the difference between the two but I do appreciate the advice. As I said before Ive no interest in changing anything that Im doing as it seems to work, needless or not.
