Api Master Kit Help

right so my master kit has come today i was wondering if both ammonia bottles have to show 0PPM an both nitrate have to be the same?

Have you read the instructions in the booklet?
You have to combine the 2 bottles for both ammonia and nitrAte exactly as it says in the instructions. For the nitrAte ones make sure that you really give bottle no.2 some hammer for a good 30 seconds if not a minute as there are 2 chemicals in there that need to be thoroughly mixed before adding to the water and no.1 mix.

yeah iv read the instructions but wasnt clear on if i needed to add the second to the 1st tube or its own tube same for the nitrate one

I can only assume the instructions have changed because its pretty clear in the version I have. Instructions can be found here.

right so iv got home to test my kit an its not working the ammonia have stayed clear 1 nitrate yellow an the other clear an before any1 says give it a good shake belive me i did haha

You need to put the drops from both bottles into the same test tube.
 
So, to do the ammonia test, fill up your test tube up to the line with tank water. Then add the drops from the first bottle, marked #1 (i think it's eight drops). Put the lid on the test tube, give it a shake and then add the drops from bottle #2.
 
Same with the nitrate test; add the 10 drops from bottle #1, then do your shaking and add the drops from the second bottle; into the same test tube.

yup! iv just done it now ammonia 0PPM nitite 0PPM nitrate 0PPM an my PH is 6.8 very happy with the kit
