I'm going to Maidenhead Aquatics today with my sis. I wanna get a few more cardinals but don't wanna buy them from there if I can get them cheaper in pets at home. They're £3.50 each in Maidenhead or 5 for £11. Does that sound an ok price? I recently bought a pitbull plec from there and he was double the price they are selling them for in pets at home.

Last time I went to P@H they were 6 for £5 which they had labelled up as neons :)

yeah 3 for a fiver, same as harlequins. Although mine doesn't stock them as standard, you have to order them in special, so you might wanna ring and ask first :)

So cheap, count yorselves lucky, mine are £3 each or buy 5 get 1 free, so would cost me £30 for 12 :(

£2.99 each?
I think I'd be giving them a wide birth. A shop I go to sells them for £1.10 each.

sometimes i'd rather pay more money for fish that i believe are healthy and cared for.

Aye, they are double that at my other lfs, but I trust the stock from there more: they're usually healthier, bigger, and they have a better selection. Toss up between saving money and getting good quality fish.
