I browse these forums all the time for general chit chat about this and that and never see much about people mentioning different L number catfish species.

Let me know which you have, how many and what sex's :) Just to feed a piece of my hungry interest.

I myself have 11 L134 adults, 2 Juveniles and 5 Juvenile L270

Here are a couple of my babies below, let me know what you think!

Very nice. I dont really have anything like but so its nice to see them.
How did you get your pics to show up straight on the forum?

i also had temoporary care of a baby L191 royal panaque and a baby L048 scobiancistrus i think he called it. they're now back in they're new, enormous tank.

i also had a rubbernose, but i think he committed hari kari. i found him one morning stuck to the front of the tank dead, but with his head above the water line :-(

as you can see i do like my plecs, id love a tank that consisted if loads of nice L numbers and not much else.

Moochy your unknown one is Panaque maccus.

I currently only keep L191 and Ancistrus rio ucayali (x3) as they are nigh on impossible to source here.

I kept over 20 species back in the UK.

wow.....these are all fantastic!

off to the LFS on the way home......hmmmm!

I've an L047 who is currently about 4 inch, perhaps more, it's difficult to tell as I hardly ever see it!

Some great fish people! Thanks for the details and keep them coming! My l134s are leapord frogs, the l270's are chocolate zebra's. I do have a so called l134 but I cant find out what type of "scribble" plec it is.

:) keep em coming!

I have an Albino Bristlenose. Nothing special but i like him. I also have a common in my bigger tank downstairs. But he won't let me take a pic of him :(

the little unidentified one looks like a clown but i could be wrong.

I have a l75 l95 and L191 all juveniles and all get along swimmingly.

Mike, i hate to question you, as i dont think ive ever seen you be wrong  , but im looking at pictures on planet catfish, and it doesnt look like any of the juvinile pics on there. the 'panaque maccus' on there seems to have much more uniform pattern, almost stripey like my flash plec.

maccus

cheers

I see what you are saying, I still think it is a maccus.

There is another that is similar, LDA68 iirc?

The forum on PC might be a good place to ask, Mats, Yann or someone may have a better idea than me

hmmmm, heres LDA068

LINK

still not convinced, the pattern on those fish is much finer, less 'blobby' than the colouration on mine. maybe i will ask on the forum, need to sign up first.

Nice plecs ;) , anyone on here got a zebra plec?

boys and girls, these fish are lovely.....I strongly suggest that they are entered into the FOTM competition to knock the cichlids of their watery perch!
