Anyone Got Any Neat Tank Layout Ideas?

I've seen a really cool looking tank somewhere on the net...

It was a like a polluted ditch biotype.

Glass beer bottles, coke cans, crisp packets and the like on top of sand, with some algae covered rocks and only one or two easy low light plants.

The fish in it were glofish, looked really cool, it was like they were mutants.

I'll see if i can find it.

Here we go.

I have a bit of fake wood in my hexagon tank, i use it as a nursery tank and this wood, is all knarled up with fungus growing on it, my pregnant endlers absolutely love hiding in there! It looks really cool in the tank too! GRJ :hyper:

thats looks well smart, how much did that cost if you dont mind me asking :)

It was around £5 from my local LFS, i just thought i was more unusual than the normal hollow logs and stuff you can get and the fish LOVE hiding in it. GRJ :good:

i think those fish may be the genetic engineered glo-fish. i dont think there much harm in that, as they just posses a mutated gene that is manipulatd when they are still embryos.

as for the tank ideas, id go with a natural look. find some cool rocks (make sure there acceptable) and maybe some drift wood with a few live plants. natural tanks posess a simple beauty that never gets old.

yeah me too, from what i've heard its all small bits of wood for the trunk/branch and then some moss (unsure what moss), REALLY thinking of doing it myself but i dont think i could pull it off aswell as that

I really like the last image posted.

As for genetically engineered mutated fish, is that possible?

They are glofish.

Originally, some zebra danios had sea-anenome genes implanted in the embryos to make them fluorescent for research in detecting pollutants in aquatic environments. The offspring of these fish also have this gene, so now they are bred for the aquarium trade.
