just been given a 15 gallon hexagon tank wondered if anyone got any cool setup ideas/stocking?

i already have quite a natural looking tank kitted with bogwood and plants with a lil' tanning from the wood but looks quite nice i think! although its slowly going due to water changes

but if anybody wants to share some tips of ideas or post there pics it would be appreciated :good: :fish:

It depends on what you want, colour wise. I have a natural looking tank too, but my other tank is crazy colours.

sounds cool u got any pics?

maybe Neon bright gravel, colours/deco, but do they spin out the fish? i've always wondered that?

going back to the flurescent colour gravel and decor, does any one think it effects the fish?

"anyone know of somthing really unusal? " "maybe Neon bright gravel" "does any one think it effects the fish?"

this is just my opinion. dont think bright gravel is that unusual, dont know if it affects the fish but as a general rule dont think it looks that good :dunno:

I'm working on doing a sci fi themed aquarium. Details are still loose and a few of the decor items are going to be difficult but it will look great if I pull it off.

i've seen some glass looking design things that light up and u can put it in ur fish tank. i kinda wanted to get one, but i thought it just wouldn't work with the tanks i got, but with a hexigon tank i think it would look pretty cool to have in there.

if i were u i'd go for cool crazy colors and unusual designs, maybe if u can get it like a bog wood tower with branchign off branches every ones ina while with a few plants attatched to each branch and a light up thing in the front of hte base. and a color'd light would be nice, maybe a light blue or pink would be nice.

I've always been told it does, and fish can see in colour...

The lfs I work at doesn't sell the really bright gravels for that reason, only dark red and blue stuff.

You could do some cool themes without having to use bright colours. Maybe a beach theme with plants near the back, sand, little mini beach huts, or a mini landscape using plants that look like mini trees - you could create a "river" with some pale blue pebbles or something and have a little bridge over it with "forests" either side. I even remember a golf course theme in the planted journals forum, but unfortunately it doesn't have the pictures anymore.

thank you all for your advice and wonderful idea's :thanks: :fish:
