the gold forms were apparently a non dominant wild color variation, that were line bred, and they are pretty unstable in form, as they are often blind, and their color pattern can change…
this is an older picture of my gold form, next to a normal denison…
and this is one 6 months later, beginning a color change…
often as they age, they revert back to the normal coloring… mine has started getting patches of the bronze coloring on the body, on mine, these patches are translucent, and with the yellow / gold color under them, it shimmers in the light like gold leaf… this effect is difficult to capture with a camera, but I’ll keep trying… I don’t know how long this color effect will last , but it’s kind of interesting…
