Looks very good, with 24w of T5 light with reflectors over a 30l tank though, your going to either need loads of floating plants to cut down the light, or heavy planting and CO2 injection to avoid too much algae.

If you choose your plants right it wont be an issue, but you will need heavy planting .

Good thing about that unit is you can just turn one bulb on though, whih would be better if you dont like the idea of lots of fast-growing plants.

Also, how do you have floating plants + surface movement for oxygenation at the same time?

What tank do you have for betta mate? I'm after one a similar size

Plants produce lots of oxygen throught their roots, and because they have a limtless supply above the water they are excellent oxygenators.
