i bought this small tank a while back,i keep cherry shrimp in it and was wondering if there were any small fish i could put into it.

Have you looked at endlers? I'd probably go for a trio of males if I was you, small and colourful - don't get a female they would take over the tank within weeks

The good old flora/ebi. Nice little tanks, but little. Ideal for shrimps.

They make great betta tanks, I've also used them as hospitals for small fish.

A crazy part of me is considering a nano reef in one, but that's not a sensible option, even if I do go ahead (it can be done, it's just not what I'd call sensible).

After that it depends on how you filter them. I upgraded mine to an eheim 2213, as I didn't get on the with the internal and hated the space it lost me in a small tank. I've heard good things of keeping oto's in them in that scenario, otherwise you're onto more obscure fish.

I had a shoal of chilli rasbora in a 34l. They don't really shoal particularly well together, but they seemed settled enough. Needs a densely planted tank to feel comfortable.
