Any Small Schooling Fish For A 3 (uk) Gallon Hex?

The frogs do stay in the water. but they frequently dart to the surface to gulp air. They also seem to prefer to squeeze under something like a log. An air stone or curtain would be cool. The lid is good. They cling or brace on things and do that at the surface. They could crawl out without the lid. I always get an Oh! You have frogs! when people see them. But of course they are in a very active set up. If you are going to keep them separate, you could consider African Clawed Frogs--Bad Boys! I don't have them, but they are like having puffer fish of the frog variety. Although they may get bigger. You'd have to research.

I read you'd have to have about 10 Gallons each (don't know if they are being sarcastic) but if they are then more likely 5-6 Gallons each. So my tank isn't big enough. I think i'm just going to make it into a fry tank, it seems the easiest suggestion. I have some java moss on the way hopefuly so i'll split it up and put some in there, and maybe take the lid of and use the spotlight above the tank onto it. But it might look a bit out of place without the lid...
Thanks,
Neal :good:

they're not being sarcastic with the 10g per acf's mine was the size of my wist and should still of grown more. i loved mine. mine used to eat things like mollies.

:good:

you would be fine with a dwarf puffer, as long as you could fix the problem with heavy current. I've kept them in 2 gallon tanks with out any drawbacks.

The ACF's or the ADF's need 10 gallons each? I don't think the ADF's need ten gallons each.

Hmm, i've never seen them around here, and I think my tank would be more suited to fry, rather than frogs.

Neal

PS-I still like ADF's and DP's though, so I may change my mind, as I have a month+ to decide. :good:

I'll try, and yet i've changed my mind again. I figure if I make it a fry tank I pretty much have to dismantle my tank everytime something gives birth to catch the little blighters. Maybe it could be a dwarf puffer tank afterall, just gonna have to see what's at my LFS then...

Thanks,
Neal :good:

PS-My birthday tommorow so you can all buy me a 300 Gallon tank and deliver it to my door with 10 Dwarf puffers and lots of plants and lots of snails and lots of shrimp, ok so maybe I got a little bit carried away? Lmao :shout: :hyper:

Happy birthday Neal.
