i have a 4ft tank currently housing 6 neons ,3 zebra danios , 5 mollys , 1 algea eater , 1 plec , 1 upside down catfish , but need some ideas as to wat to get next any ideas all welcome

thought about that would really like somethin different

is your tank planted
is it over filtered
is it cycled
what is the tank's volume
do you know the algae eaters specific name
all this info would help to narrow down some good tank mates but a good starting point for now is to bump up the number of danios and neons to atleast 10 as they prefer to be in larger groups

yes lots of plants.
yes cycled and well estabilshed
what do u mean by over filtered?
volume is 190 litres

up the numbers of neons and danios to atleast 8 as both are schooling fish and become more active, and less nippy in larger groups. possibly add an electric blue ram to the mix

As said up the numbers of danios and neons, theyre colour and swimming will improve in larger numbers

Conflicting temperature demands here....

yes. sorry I just relised that EBR do like to be in higher than normal temperatures, so another alternative would be Bolivion rams but, EBR's can still be kept at lower temperatures and live a full happy life

the neons are danios are fully grown and all very bright in colours and had no fin nipping they all came with my very 1st tank that i bought?
conflicting temperatures are u saying they are all needing diff temps?

iv heard rams can be abit nippy and quite fragile fish or was i told wrong?i really liked barbs?

even still the danios are best at a usual max temperature 74 degrees Fahrenheit... not much higher... and the gbr/ebrs really do best at at least 80-80 though down to 78 can be alright there's still a gap between the comfortable temperatures...

so all in all if you must have a ram of some sort go blivians

When I had rams they only ever went after other cichlids, they didn't ever bother the normal community fish I had at the time. They can go after their own kind.
