Hello everyone!

I currenlty have a 120 gallon aquarium with 3 clown loaches, 4 gouramis, 1 red tail shark, 3 siamese algea eaters, 6 rummy nose tetras, and 7 danios. I wanted to add 3 roseline sharks and complete the rummy nose tetras school, would this be fine or is the tank overcrowded?

Appreciate all help.

Hello X. The Denison Barb is peaceful, but a bit of a challenge to keep, because their water has to be near nitrogen free. This means removing and replacing more water and doing this more often. This fish won't do well if you just change a little bit of water every couple of weeks. Fish kept in a tank of water, need half the water replaced every week. No slacking! If you don't do this, fish aren't going to be their healthiest and their immune system isn't as strong as it could be.

Thank you for the reply!
I am doing about 30% water changes weekly, but I have no problem if I need to do more.

Hello again. Water changes can harm fish. If they're used to getting a 25 percent change weekly, you can't suddenly change 50 percent. This would shock even the hardiest species, because you've suddenly changed the water chemistry. A 50 percent change every week is best, but you need to gradually work up to this point. Just change a little more every week until you reach this goal. Then, do this weekly. No slacking!

And, yes. You could have a few more fish.

Alright, I will increase them gradually until I get to that 50%.

Thanks for the help!
