Any Ideas Of What I Might Get?

ok so im justgetting into the breeding part of betta keping, and i was just wondering about afew things. now before i get started iv researched breeding bettas for over a month prior to attempting anything with my fish. now what im wondering is what possible colors could i be expecting with the fry that iv already got which are now 6 weks old as of yesterday, and the possible colors of the spawn that just took place thismorning. im almost positive that im getting all if not mot vt for tail types since all of these parents are lfs bettas.(yes i know vt isnt as desierable as others) im mostly just curiouse about what possble colors i'll be getting, and also what size should they be at 6 weeks old?? for the first spawn the mother is a red cambodian and the father is a red/white butterfly. the mother of the spawn that took place thismorning is a simple royal blue ans the father is a royal blue/mustard butterfly. if you have any ideas they would be very welcome.

With pet store bettas, there is really no telling as far as color goes, since you have no idea of their genetic backgrounds.

Do you have a good pet store that will take these fry when they are old enough? It's usually not recommended to breed pet store bettas because they are by no means in any demand and, unless you have an exceptionally good pet store, contributes to the betta-in-a-cup industry. :\ I recommend you find a good quality pair from a breeder if you want to breed bettas.

As far as how big betta fry average at certain ages, this is a good page.

yes i have a good pet store that will take them plus my sister and afew other friends that might take them. iv been looking into some different breeders for a while now. thanks for the link. i live upstate just outside of rochester.

That's cool you have a good pet store. They're very rare unfortunately.

i would love to get some more plakats, but i can get any more til i get my own place my mom and boyfriend would both kill me. iv already got 2 which were supposed to be females but they came from petco so im not entierly suprised they arent.
