Hi I had one blue ram that had the cotton wool like fungus i treated the tank which is 100litres with less of the treatment than a full dose for a 100litre tank all my fish instantly became discoulored and unbalancced! I immediately have done a water change increased my filter speed put on my air curtain but the majority of the fish are lifeless allmost including my loved Plec which i have had for years i am devastated can anyone advise the next step?

Please!

It would help to know what the medication used was.

You've done everything right but you need to effectively change all of the water and/or add a lot of carbon to your filter to remove the medication. Depending on what the medication is you may also have knocked out your filter bacteria.

The only way that med would cause all your fish to be affected immediately would be if it had been overdosed or you have some other chemical or medication in the tank as well, do you? I know it sounds like a daft question but are you sure the tank is 100L? What are it's measurements and how much other stuff do you have in the tank suck as rocks, substrate, ornaments etc? What dose did you use?

Is deffinately a 100 llitres I added just less than the 20 ml mark on the measruing cup to 1pint of wArm tap water dissolved it well then poured poured it equally over the tank then it litterally was like an apocolypse. This morning some fish have significantly improved. But some still look seriously ill. Including the fish that had the bacterila problem in the first place is there anymore I can doit

I had exactly the same problem when I used that product! I contacted the manufacturers and they claimed that it was because I hadnt allowed the medication to fully dissolve (I thought I had) before adding it to the aquarium. Either way I dont trust it any more. I would reccommmend adding carbon to your filter ASAP, it should remove the meds very quickly and your fish should be bay to normal within a few hours. I used a combination of salt+pimafix+melafix and it cured all symptoms (just remember to have extra aerations when using meds)

Hope this helps

hmmm...i used this for my 60L..but sure i only used a few ml?!

The dosage is about right, certainly not any significant overdose but did you remember to dechlorinate the tap water you added it to?
