Okay, with the PVC...if I will have a 33 gallon tank with a Red-tail shark, blue gourami, and a soon coming Pictus cat - what size of PVC should I get. I went out today and got a 3 1/2" one, but I think it might take up too much space. What do you think??

are you going to use this as a hiding spot? i have used 2" before. depends on the size of the fish or rather the heighth.

clay pots turned on their sides also are great for caves and what not.

Yes, I am going to use it as a cave. I got the curvy elbow kind. Maybe the 2" will be good for the fish I have?

Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you all! I am going to take pictures of my new tank's progress once it gets going, and I will post them! I hope you all will enjoy! :D

i have use the straight kind of pvc, not the elbow. elbows are not usually very long. if you do want a bend in the pvs then i would suggest putting on an extension tot eh ends of the straight pvc. your fish should do fine with the 2".
