Another Death Due To My Filter

i have an elite stingray 15 and there is a gap between the glass and the filter the first time i saw a fish stuck in the back i noticed early enough and removed the fish and it lasted about two weeks before it died then saw another one there last nite and he must have been there a while as its body was pretty messed up. its pretty frustraing this happenin to me any way i can stop this happenin

White fluffy filter media,you should be able to get some from youre local shop for fish

i have the same filter in my 60 L and have had a similar problem with fish actually going up the intake bit and getting crunched in the motor not nice ! my advice would be get a different filter as its not a very good one anyway.

Can you not put some netting over the filter to stop any suck ups?

I cover the filter in my fry tank with the tor end of a nylon stocking held in place with a rubber band to prevent little ones being sucked up. It works!
