Angelfish Territorial Problem?

Hey guys, i picked up my 40 gallon off ebay today, i obviously had no say in what fish i had as it already came with them.

Its a great tank and looks quite nice, it has 2 angelfish 1 male and 1 female (theres a problem) 6 penguin tetras, some neons. and some cherry barbs, and some bottom feeders, which iam not sure of there names, i will post some pics of them later.

And the angels seem to stay in their own corner ofthe tank, and when a penguin tetra comes along they will shoo it off,

is there anything i can do, add more angels? i dont have another tak to move the angels to..

If you are sure they are male & female they may be planning that area for spawning. Adding more angels will at the least give them more fish to chase off, at the worst you will have damaged or dead fish.

Except it sounds to me like you may not have enough space to add more angels.

How many gallons is recommened per angel guys? thanks for the replies.

20 gallon minimum, 10 gallons per angel, minimum water depth of 16". You could add more to that tank, but if you have a pair in there already you risk creating a war zone.

yeah, thanks for the advice m8. just realised that that fish is a Panda Garra, hes really cool, but he doesnt come out much.....
