Angelfish Tankmates

Posted this in the New World Section but no response .Hopefully get a better reply here

Well after a few things going bottom's up the past few months i should be getting my other halfs 4Lx1.5Wx3H tank on friday . The only fish i have that i want to move over are the 6 Angel's & 3 Black Skirt Tetra's.

Can anyone shed some light on what would be suitable tankmates? I know the larger tetra's are good with them but want something a bit diffrent the cichlid side is all new to me so open to suggestions

Are there any bottom dweller's minus cory's or plec's that i could keep . I love the Fire Eel's but again not sure if they are compatible or not

Holpo catfish/reedfish/keyhole cichlids/tbar cichlid/rainbow cichlid all good canidates.....reedfish do much better in groups

You can put angels with rainbows. They get along fine and pretty much ignore each other.

For the bottom how about something like a school of small loaches like pygmi chain or zebra? Could maybe do a group of polka dots? Or you could get a synodontis (sp) there are quite a lot of species and some stay around 4-5 inch? Most do well on their own. With the plecs have you looked at the L numbers? Some of them are gorgeous.

For the cichlids - the keyholes will work well - also other dwarfs would do well like apistos - common species are cacatuoides, agazi, panduro, trifastica or there are german rams and bolivian rams or maybe some kind of dwarf acara like laetacara dorsiger the red breasted acara - gets to 4 inches very peaceful. Or a dwarf gold acara - Nannacara anomala? Or a laetacara curviceps the dwarf flag cichlid.
