I am looking to turn my 72 Gallon bowfront into an Angelfish tank (with a few other species)

I was looking to have a group of 6-8 Angels, if too many end up being males I can rehome a few in the long run.
For the bottom I was interested in a large school of corydoras and maybe a species of dithers.

My tank is a bit more bare with a few pieces of driftwood and minor live planting.

It was my axolotl tank but I am moving on from the amphibian side of things, I want to get my hands into genuine fish keeping again -

Any thoughts on the set up/proposed stocking?

I have 200 gallons worth of filtration on the tank.

Sounds like a very nice home for them. :)

Rummynose Tetras, Corydoras Sterbai and a group of L239 Plecs. :good:

Hope we get some pictures, I always wanted an angel fish tank.........please :good:

I will absolutely over load you guys with pictures!!!!

I will probably mix some silk and live plants to make it a bit fuller. I like the simpler side of planting and do not have a green thumb so we'll see how it comes out!

The axolotls and goldfish I had in the tank will be moving into other systems and I am going to stock at least the cories and tetras this week to keep my cycle going. If I find enough angels I like I will probably add them in also.
I hope to get the move done next weekend and hopefully I will have pictures for you by early/mid next week.

Am open to lots of suggestions in the mean time!

Are you good at aquascaping?, with a tank that size it would be great to start on, you can get lots of idea's on here in tank of the month,

The move went sooner than planned, so I stocked my tank between yesterday and today....and voila!
I am not so handy at scaping yet...

Here is what I am "satisfied" with so far - a few silk plants are mixed into the live plants to fill out the spaces and break up visuals for the fish.

Looks like you got some nice ones. Not keen on Veiltails personally, but each to their own.

The stocking is a little mish mash though. A lot of different prefered temperature ranges...
