well i dont want any deaths so hmm could harleyquins be able to go with them

I think if you add the rummys first and allow them to grow it would be fine, not sure on the harleys.

The hatchets will stay strictly at the surface. That is what I meant when i said

Hatchets will stay at the water's surface and corys will stay on the sand.
You'd have nothing but the angels in the middle.

If you want rummynoses instead of hatchets you have my full support, I love mine.
They are large enough not to be eaten by angels but they need rome time to grow, as usually juveniles are sold.

It depends on how large you buy the angels. If you get some smaller ones the rummynoses will grow out WAY before the angels grow big enough to pick on them. The flipside is that it will be pot luck to get a pair.

well im getting a pair from a breeder and now i would like to get rummys the stocking would be
pair angels
pair bolivians
7 panda cories? would they be good
7 rummynoses
how is that?

I think that'd work great! About the Ram and Angel compatibility, when my Angels and Rams crossed paths the Rams were actually the winner, they chased the Angels away.

ok great, wow im suprised the ram chased the angel i thougt rams were more peaceful than the angels

If you're going for one pair of rams I'd up the numbers of corys and rummynoses to 12

I would up the number of pandas, but only bc you don't have that many bottom feeders, and the higher the number of cories, the better the behavior :hey:

Bolivians are great bc they are easy going community fish, but they can hold their own as well.

Getting a mating pair of angels makes it tricky, bc they're full grown and testy bc they're in mating mode, so they'll be ready to pick off little fish. You could always up the numbers or rummy's to make up for any losses :/  or just have a look and wait til you see some good sized rummy's or harlequins. My harlequins did great with my angels, I didn't lose any. When I added rummynoses, they immediately acted like prey, and my angels were like "oh good, snacks!!" lol.  But again, every situation is different.

There's always the way of getting a group of small angels and waiting for two to pair up, then rehoming the rest, that's what I did but not on purpose.

ok i guess i will just up the numbers on all the schools, but id be sad if one of the rummy died there hard to get but i place an order for 14 at liv aquaria and take my chance.

Wait 'till they grow nice and chunky before getting the angels.

ok but is geting babies an option too they wouldnt be in pairs so i might need 4 but would they eat them?

If you get babies the rummynoses would be too big to be eaten, and will grow to full size before the angels do.

I hope this doesn't pull attention away from guppy's questions, actually hopefully might be of some use to him.. How long til rummys become full grown? =o

Mine have become nice and chunky after about four or five months.
